In celebration of May Day, this lettering composition is an homage to Adolph Fischer’s Haymarket handbills.
A typesetter, Fischer was indicted mainly on the basis of his involvement in producing the print material calling for the mass meeting of workers that would become the Haymarket Affair in 1886.
Iconically, his last words before being executed were, “Hurrah for anarchy! This is the happiest moment of my life!”
The typography of the original flyer had such incredible style.
